Over the last 10 years we have attached several definitions to DeepStream. We’ve called it a movement, a gathering, a ministry, a mission, a community and in some ways it is all of those things. Simply put, DeepStream's heart is to love God above anything else this world offers, to follow after the ways of Jesus, and to be led by the Holy Spirit, to walk by faith.  At the core DeepStream was molded out of a love for the above mentioned and a passion for the family to enjoy a life of purpose, peace, learning and fun together.

Our DeepStream Families would encourage your family to:
 
1.  SLOW DOWN- MAKE TIME- SIMPLIFY- Cutting away the busyness of every day life to pray, eat, talk, listen, read, play, create, serve as a family will birth opportunity to find your purpose.  There is no easier way to distract and mislead a family than to keep them disconnected from each other.  Go against the mainstream and make your house a home where you spend down time, quiet time, chill time as an entire family.
 
2. SEEK AND FIND TRUTH FOR YOURSELF - Knowing the truth about JESUS- His love and His plan for a deep loving relationship with man brings freedom from guilt and discouragement. Read His Word, seek Him wholeheartedly.  Follow what the Holy Spirit tells you to do no matter how crazy or minute it may seem.  Study how Jesus interacted with His Father and people and surrender yourself to model your character after His.
 
3.  FAMILY FIRST- The Scriptures show that community provides accountability, encouragement, edification, love, and support.  All these and more should be the foundational thoughts in your home- husband and wife towards each other, kids and parents towards each other.  Extending your family into your neighbors, coworkers and community is a Biblical example of how we believe Jesus spoke of the church living out their faith in Acts.

4. COMMUNITY - Follow hard after Jesus as an individual, as a family, but get involved and share life with others.  We believe firmly that as followers of Jesus, WE ARE THE CHURCH, and we are called to be unified, journey together, experience ups and downs together, and grow together.  Whether you attend a small group, big group, have a home gathering or your own gathering as a family, it is important to be journeying and seeking together.  We all play a role in God's Kingdom now!
 
5. DISCOVER YOUR PURPOSE- Life is not meant to live in isolation, competition, or repitition, but yet to be full of joy, peace, and purpose.  Jesus speaks clearly about helping the orphans, widows, homeless, diseased as if we are doing it unto Him. Whether you are a pastor, mother, teacher, banker, construction foreman or other He has a purpose for you and for your family.  Only through prayer and obedience can that be found.
 
DeepStream is not an organization that has membership, or desires to fill your schedule with programs or obligations. Rather, it is our prayer that the impact of the Stream will encourage you to embrace life, slow down your pace, keep your family focused on eternal matters, unashamedly love God and people.  Through this way of life your family, your neighbors, and those you work, play and live with every day will have the opportunity to sense your peace and your passions and in return you will fall in love with God as you witness His Power, Faithfulness, Grace and Love.
